Who is Maya? 
Maya's Stay and Play is named after our beloved Maya, an English Springer Spaniel, who went to the rainbow bridge in 2013. She was a rescue from the Lawrence Humane Society who taught us the true meaning of unconditional love.
A little about Rachel and Marlene
Marlene and Rachel are co-owners of Maya’s Stay and Play of Lawrence LLC.
Since 1986, we have always had one or more dogs to care for and love. For 16 years we were involved in rescuing and adopting English Springer Spaniels; from the special needs to the elder statesman. We are certified to foster through the English Springer Rescue of America.
Rachel is a writer, editor and online content manager who works from home, and Marlene is a retired science teacher and coach.
Dexter, our fun-loving host dog
Dexter, a mini goldendoodle, is the resident dog at the stay and play. He is a three-year-old rescue dog.
